Dezember.

It's here! This year has just flown by. I can remember last December so clearly, getting ready for a long trip back to Canada. It makes me sad to think that it's been almost a whole year since we've seen so many of our friends back home.

I've started knitting my first pair of baby pants with feet in them. I've never knit anything with a fine yarn so I'm hoping that they don't take forever to complete. Today will be a day of pattern drafting, cutting, and sewing... hopefully I'll have some photos to share with you soon.

We're off for a mini-vacation soon... back to the Baltic sea. I'm looking forward to having a few days of relaxing, reading and knitting.

Oh beautiful day.

It's a lovely sunny day in Berlin. No sign of volcano ash anywhere... or clouds for that matter. I've been working hard this week getting ready for Trendmafia on Saturday. I've been bogged down working on some projects just for myself though and have not made that much progress for the market. Plus it makes it hard to stay inside when it's so nice outside.

I have time for a quick break this afternoon and will be joining teams of others to go and hang out in the sun somewhere... maybe get some sewing done, before heading back to work. Yesterday I baked some cookies to go with our coffee for an afternoon break. They're from my Grandma's special recipe.

Here's a sneak peak of the dress that I'm working on right now. I found the buttons at Paul Knopf... a gem in the middle of Berlin, he sells an amazing selection of vintage buttons. I could waste hours there.

A week. A blur of a week.

last week was a total blur. I had thought of posting many times but there just wasn't enough exciting activity going on around here to do so. I've just been working really hard to pull some products together for an upcoming christmas market.... it's Trendmafia time again!

In other news we did manage to do some fun things... last night we went to HAU 2 to see Hauschka and Max Richter play. It was a really beautiful and relaxed show, plus it was just across the street from our place... who could say no.

I went to a work christmas party last weekend, but other than that spent most of the weekend printing some of my new patterns... which I will reveal later this week. Also did a little baking. Friends of ours had a small going away party and the apple strüdel was my contribution.
