Wonder weekend.

We had a wonderful weekend. Yeah for visitors. I also think that I am finally back into the swing of things work-wise. Things have definitely been much busier since new years but I'm happy for the work... but just hope that I'll still be able to nurture that creative side of mine.

Look at me whining... we got up to some pretty fun stuff this weekend. If you're in Berlin in the next month or so check these shows out.

*Walton Ford at Hamburger Bahnhof. This show is absolutely amazing, is so colourful, and inspiring, and has an indescribable sadness. I swear I'm going to go back multiple times before it ends. We even bought the catalogue which I've been drooling over for the past few days.Also... eat cake in the café.

*George Grosz at Akademie der Kunst. This was also a great show but beware... all of the info is in German. If you don't read German take someone with you that can translate some of the key info.

Our lovely friends Gemma and Gary came to visit us from Ireland... and without them being here we probably would have been hibernating the whole weekend because it was crazy cold in Berlin. Thanks guys for being such great visitors! Come back soon!!

We also saw the XX on friday night at Astra Kulturhaus. The show was good but I think I've already mentioned that I have to stop going to sold out shows. I'm a short one and always seem to have problems seeing the stage, and generally don't enjoy being packed in so tight. That said... they did a great job.

Happy Tuesday.

  1. I'm dying to the the Walton Ford Show!!!!
Try the brunch on Sarah Wiener. It's delicious.

  2. Hi Anja!! Go to the show soon... it is so so so so so good! I hadn't heard that Sarah Wiener had a brunch. I'll have to check it out! Thanks for the tip!

  3. I think I've said this before, but I love to see all those smiling, beautiful, familiar faces!

  4. I'm jealous! I want to be in the middle of that group, kept warm by hugs.

  5. Aw... you two are too sweet. Vancouver reunion 2012??! Just an idea.
