I love handkerchiefs. I have a bunch that I have had since childhood. I also pick them up at flea markets from time to time. Here are a few of my favourites. The blue handkerchief in the back is my all-time favourite. The designer has used some sort of inlay technique to apply the white border. I often wonder who put the love and care into designing and applying these stitches.
It would be nice to have the time and energy to decorate a few of my own. It could be a nice 365 day project to start.

Hey now, there's a good idea! I have several somewhere in a box as well. Just thought of something, I am trying to learn some sort of mending/decorative stitch thing and I bet some of my old ones have been mended. I should go and dig them out. :)
