The weather in Berlin got very cold and blustery suddenly, which made me think of a nice long weekend trip that we took to the Baltic Sea, to a little town in Poland, that the Germans call Misdroy. We spent a lot of time sleeping, wandering around and eating cake.

Apparently the W-Z on the cake stands for the polish word for highway, and I was told that it was very popular to eat in the late 80's and early 90's.

Here are some more photos from our trip to the Baltic Sea. We took a quick jaunt over to Poland but realized when we got there that we had forgotten to look up any useful polish phrases and had no map. We just ended up visiting a very sweet doily laden cafe.

Winter sea.

We just got back from a relaxing break on the Baltic sea. I'm sure you're going to think that this is the only place that we travel to nowadays. It's just so easy to drive there from Berlin and no one can complain about the off-season rates!

If you're in Berlin tonight there's an event being put on by the reading room... and one of M.'s books will be a part of the exhibition.

Update on crafty things... I'm almost finished with the footed baby pants... accidentally knit a left foot on the right leg. I'm not sure if it matters though! I also bought this and this pattern. I just couldn't resist.
