It's definitely springtime here. The weather is beautiful and we're spending as much time as possible outside... which means not much work is getting done. Oh well. We've just been spending lots of time biking around town and hanging out at Biergartens and with friends. Regardless of all this time spent outside the house, I've made some headway on my first knitting machine project. Photos to come shortly!

This week I'd like to get to the Gerhard Richter show at Neue National Galerie and the Christopher Roth show at Esther Schipper.

Happy Monday.

I've been trying to hang around the house more lately... just to get some work done on a few of my projects. This new spring weather is making it very hard though.

I ended up picking up a few new pieces of clothing for the upcoming season, from Robber (in Toronto) and from Elfinger, a tiny store in Kreuzberg with a wonderful selection of clothing for women and children.

Happy Sunday.

I'm working hard these days at finding a good work/life/crafting balance. It's coming... slowly but surely. Today was one of the first days where it feels like spring is in Berlin. Spring weather has such an effect on me. It's like I'm a new person... the fresh spring air really breathes new life into me.

Here are some photos from the last few weeks around Berlin. Hopefully soon I'll have completed some new projects that I'm working on. I've been fiddling around with the knitting machine that M. got me for Christmas. It's definitely teaching me about patience.

Did I mention how much I love this shop in Kreuzberg? They're having a sale starting tomorrow!

Happy Wednesday.

Where did March go?

I'm a little rusty at this posting thing as you can see. The baby has really thrown me for a loop and I'm just getting around to scanning some film photos from the last half of 2010 that I actually got developed in January. Here are a few from around Berlin.

We've been doing tons of great things lately and I always think about posting them here but often don't have my camera with me... or just don't have the time to get on the computer. I'm hoping to be able to juggle my life a little better very soon so that I can get back to posting regularly soon.

Yesterday was the first day of the year for spending time along the Landwehr Canal near our place. People were out on the streets in droves to enjoy the beautiful spring weather we're having!! We ended off the evening at Hamburger Heaven on Graefestrasse. Mmmm.

We're heading of to Canada for an extended visit and to show off our little guy to family and friends back home. Sadly we'll be leaving this wonderful spring weather to return to winter. Hopefully it'll warm up there soon too!

Happy Sunday and happy spring!

Fresh.

We took our first steps outside today in over a week. Felt like spring. Strolled down to the best little cake shop in Berlin, Mr. Minsch.

Happy Monday.

Weekend of breakfast.

The weather in Berlin was amazingly warm this weekend. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit, but I'm used to the long Canadian winters. I haven't worn my heavy winter jacket since last Thursday. I'd say it's spring. Minus the sun of course. The sky has been alternating between blue, and grey clouds. I don't mind though. At least it's not snowing!

a sure sign that spring is here.

The weekend was busy busy. I went to the Turkish market on Maybach Ufer to meet some friends, and ended up running into some more. Went to an opening party at Kunst-Werke where we met a friend and ran off for some japanese noodles at coccolo.

Saturday and Sunday were museum days... I saw both the Walton Ford exhibition and the George Grosz exhibition again. Then just rode my bike around and took some pictures of my route along the way.

On my way home from Hamburger Bahnhof

Last night we had a spontaneous dinner with friends in Kreuzberg at a beautiful french restaurant. Even the server was lovely to look at and oh so nice. It's sad that I don't know the name of the restaurant and didn't bother to bring a camera. Maybe in future posts. If you're interested I know that the address is roughly here.

Happy Monday.
